Moku-gyou's partner is the unofficial name given to the creature resembling a bird who resides on top of Moku-gyou's head. Moku-gyou's partner is supposed to defend the king by pecking at ants, which he is allergic to. Moku-gyou's partner is evidently not very good at their job, doing nothing when Rin presents an ant or a Koma to the king.
