The Small Mallet (小槌) is an item in Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou. It is primarily used in the Helix Palace Luo-shang.

There are two methods to obtain the Small Mallet, both of which are in the Land of Desire Yui-Wang.

Primarily, it is one of the six treasures that King-gyou offers to you before he grants you entrance to the Helix Palace Luo-shang.
It can also be found in the left compartment within the chest of drawers in the Room of Greed Tong-shi.

It is only used in Non-fai, the Room of Pillars in the Helix Palace Luo-shang, to break the objects supporting the pillars.

The demolition mallet. Destroys anything upon contact.

The unique cursor.

The Small Mallet is the only item with unique cursor graphics associated with using it. If the player approaches the pillars on the back wall with the Small Mallet, it turns the cursor into a mallet with a face, similarly to the directional cursors.
- Notably, the Mallet cursor has an odd visual glitch where the white border for it does not display properly, causing the left side to have a thicker border and the right side to have a thin white line along it.
- Oddly, the cursor only appears for the pillars on the back wall--the default cursor is used for the pillars on the left and right hand sides of the wall.

 ==Usage==
 It is only used in [[Non-fai]], the Room of Pillars in the Helix Palace [[Luo-shang]], to break the objects supporting the pillars.
-It is suggested the player does not break pillars carelessly--if the wrong object is broken three times, the ceiling will cave in and Rin will die.
-However, if the right object is broken (on the right wall, the rightmost object), a new set of pillars will appear on the back wall of the room. If the third object from the right is broken with the Small Mallet, a small door will reveal itself. This small door is a shortcut to [[Mon-chien]]. In addition, the player can safely break the leftmost object on the right wall, but this does nothing.
