The Little Box of Sound ( , 音の小函) is an item in Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou. It is an optional reward for completing Sha's life.

Obtaining

It is obtained by Sha at the end of his life, should the player have brought all four musical instruments back to his room in Yui-wang. Notably, if the player opts to give the instruments to King-gyou, Rin will not receive the Little Box of Sound.

Usage

The Little Box of Sound has no practical use. When used, it plays a sound byte of all four musical instruments played together as it plays at the end of Sha's life.

Tong-Nou Book Entry

The Little Box of Sound is granted only to the one who has found all four musical instruments. Music of the four musical instruments are all contained in this box.

Trivia

• The Little Box of Sound and the Bottle Gourd are the only two items with no use outside of playing a sound.
  • The Little Box of Sound is the only item in Eastern Mind with no practical function outside of this, as while the Bottle Gourd can be traded, the Little Box of Sound serves only as a reward for completing Sha's life in a certain way.
