V - Ventured is a letter in Rolypolys no Nanakorobi Yaoki.

Plot

Jumping Jack Bu jogs an exceedingly long way up a mountain to Mr. Okhotsk's residence, where they participate in a game of Chō-han. The player is given a choice between even or odd, but Bu is guaranteed to win each time. After 5 consecutive wins, acquiring more gold coins each time, Bu exits the residence as a limousine pulls up to take him away.

Explanation

"Literally: If one doesn't enter the tiger's den, one can't get tiger cubs.

You have to be willing, sometimes, to take a chance if you want to gain something of value. The trick, however, is knowing when it is the right time to take the risk.
