X is one of the 27 words in Rolypolys no Nanakorobi Yaoki.
Plot
The letter X from the Alphabetical Animals series appears, then latches onto the back of Jumping Jack Bu. Bu throws it to the ground and crushes it. Tatsuro burns it to a crisp and Bu walks away.

Explanation
Literally: X the Unknown.
In mathematics, "x" is the symbol for an unknown quantity. It is used to represent anything you don't know. What would you do if you encountered something really strange, like an alien or a ghost? Most of us feel threatened by things we don't fully know or understand. When the mysterious X appeared, Bu - with Tatsuro on his back - got into a fight with it. If they had made the effort to communicate, they might have ended up as friends. When we encounter something new, we should at least take a good look at it and make an effort to understand what it is. Don't you agree?
