D - Drops is a letter in Roly Polys no Nanakorobi Yaoki.

Plot

Jumping Jack Bu eats a watermelon slice and then defecates several times to create a mountain. A watermelon grows from a seed at the top, so Bu performs a stunt where he flips and grabs the watermelon. Cheering is heard after he does this.

Moral

"Little drops of water make the mighty ocean."

Explanation

"Literally: Dust amassed will make a mountain.

Even the biggest and grandest things in the world are made up of tiny, seemingly insignificant elements—the oceans are made up of drops of water, and mountains are made up of particles of dust. Diligently saving these small, overlooked constituents can eventually add up to something really big. Jumping Jack Bu's doo is a case in point. Piled up over 5, 10, 100 "sittings," it indeed makes a mountain. And from this mountain of initially unwanted waste sprouts a watermelon, a tasty and nutritious fruit. While perhaps not as spectacular, or fragrant, as Bu's doo, the same applies to many other things in life—from study to sport. A little bit of effort everyday over time adds up to real, major gains.
