DOS
English
The English DOS version is the latest of all four. It's included in the DOSBOX triple pack.
Pros:
- Easiest to set up
- Most updated build
Cons:
- Show-mi's age verification doesn't work
- Modern PC's are too good at handling the Fire Tower's flames; turning down CPU cycles makes the rest of the game slow
- Pu-ryao's poison throws a garbled error message due to some incomplete updates from the Japanese build
- The Macintosh 'about' button was just painted over and is still clickable
- Various actions in the file dialogs cause a torrent of Windows 3.1 ding noises
- Consecutive clicks on Fang-shing are queued into starting his dialogue once more for every click, acting as a trap for experienced players who spam-click to get to their goals
