This article is about the game. For the in-universe location, see Chu-teng (place).

Chu-Teng (中天, Chūten lit. Mid-Heaven) is a 1995 point-and-click videogame developed by Outside Directors Company and published by Sony Music Entertainment for Microsoft Windows and Macintosh. It is the sequel to Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong-Nou.

Copies of the game became elusive in the years following its release, making it a holy grail of sorts for the fan community. At the end of June 2013, an anonymous user on 4chan's /vr/ board came forward with a Mac copy and shared the disc image a few days later.

According to the March 1996 issue of Wired magazine, a North American release of Chu-Teng was scheduled for mid-1996, but ultimately, it never hit the market. Despite this, an English fan translation was created many years later by members of the community.

Plot

After having regained his soul back from Tong-Nou, Rin is visited by two parts of a creature from above called Nanshu. He says Chu-Teng is in danger due to the light fighting against the darkness and in dire need of Rin's help.
