Myths

From Tong-Nou to Chu-Teng

The island on the Earth which lies far to the east,
Tong-Nou.
From there souls are born,
and to there souls return upon death.
Tong-Nou is the island where life originates.
However, at some point long ago,
Tong-Nou turned into an abominable place
that only snatches away souls,
and the Central Mountain was sealed for a long time.

However, the seal was eventually broken by the power
of Rin's soul. After the seal was broken,
Tou-gyou flung a pure Magatama to the skies and prayed. Moments later...
The sun rose over the eastern horizon.
The moon hung over the western horizon.
The stars ascended over the Central Mountain Tong-nou,
all of which ascended into the heavens.
The sun, moon, and stars surrounded the Magatama and portrayed
a triangle in the sky in their perfectly synchronous revolution,
thus creating the glittering cosmos Chu-Teng.
Chu-Teng gave forth a dazzlingly beautiful light
that shined down upon the earthly world.
This was the conception of Chu-Teng.

The Contract of Light

The Magatama in the center of Chu-Teng
distributed light among the sun, moon, and stars.
This was the Contract of Light:
proof that light would shine forevermore in the heavenly world
as well as an agreement to protect the Magatama and share its power.
As a token of appreciation, the Magatama granted
a sacred treasure to each of the newfound light bearers.

The sun received the Seven Mirrors (Chinpao),
the moon received the Seven Pearls (Yuipao),
and the stars received the Seven Stars (Shinpao).
The three bearers yielded a much stronger light due to this.

The Magatama Planet

The sun, moon and stars circled around the Magatama
and formed a barrier from their combined energies to protect it.

The Magatama took the form of a sacred planet
now known as the Magatama Planet.

The Su-game Clan, a tribe born from
the first six Koan of Magatama and
endowed with mystical powers,
inhabits the planet.

Ge-Teng and the Milky Way

Outside of Chu-Teng,
there is a vast dark space called Ge-Teng.

There is also a conduit called the Milky Way that
heads toward the Earth and the sea. The light
spilled from Chu-Teng flows down it to the sea.
The light of Chu-Teng flows
to the island called Tong-Nou
and even towards a world in the sea where light does not reach
called "Kai-Shi."

The Three Palaces

The three bearers, making full use of their light force,
each began to create their own palaces in which to store their treasures.
The sun summoned forth
a group of asteroids
that floated in the heavens. Then the sun systematically arranged them
to create an unending world of planets called the Sun Palace.
And the sun chose the name Tai-yang for itself.
The moon took the stone planets
that had rested in the heavens since long before
and created the Moon Palace,
which consisted of various buildings and underground shrines.
The moon chose the name Yue-yin for itself.

The stars only had
an egg of light called Koan.
They directed twenty-eight lights into it
and grew them into starlights.
The twenty-eight glittering lights
became small spheres which grew into rooms
and revolved in space, linking together
to create the Star Palace.
The stars
chose the name Suin-shin for themselves.

And so the three lights
produced light for each of their palaces.

Koan

Koan takes the form of an egg
and contains both light and dark matter.

If light is shone upon Koan, light is born,
and if Koan is submersed in darkness, darkness is born.
Koan's behavior is influenced heavily by its
environment in outer space.
Usually,
pieces of Koan that are exposed to light elements
will be born as light,
while a piece of Koan exposed to dark elements
will be born as darkness.

When the lifespans
of both darkness and light are exhausted,
they all return to Koan.
Koan that have died once
are gathered together at one place.
After a set period of time passes,
they are retrieved
and will become either light or darkness once more.
The three types of light differ from one another,
and which type of light a Koan can turn into
depends on the kind of light shone upon it.
Koan are constantly flowing through Ge-Teng and Chu-Teng.
Nobody knows where they come from.

About the Light Clan and Brightness

"Light" is
a general term
that refers to every type of light found in Chu-Teng.
Brightness
refers to the amount of radiance emitted by each light,
which is regarded as an attribute of utmost importance
by the Light Clan.
The brighter the light,
the stronger and better it must be.
In Chu-Teng,
dimmer lights
tend to be treated as worthless.

Generally speaking, the lights of the three palaces are born
with different typical levels of brightness.
The brightest lights are those of the Sun Palace,
followed by the Moon and then the Star Palace.
The Sun Palace is proud of its high level of brightness and as a result
began to act as the authority in Chu-Teng.
Since lights that didn't fulfill the established brightness regulations
were thought to devalue the overall radiance of Chu-Teng,
Light Supremacy, which called for them to be exiled, came to be.
In fact, the especially dim Stardust Clan members in the Star Palace
were often banished by the Sun Palace
from the Milky Way to the Earth and the seas.

The Supreme Darkness Chui-hei

However, the three palaces maintained a balance of light,
and Chu-Teng continued to shine in the heavens.
Until one certain Koan was born.
It was not long before that Koan left Chu-Teng for Ge-Teng.
It became a strong-willed force of darkness
that absorbed other darkness,
gradually becoming the giant Supreme Darkness Chui-hei.
It is because Chui-hei despised light from birth
and absorbed all hatred and conflict that he became so vast.
As if under Chui-hei's control,
all the darkness headed for Chu-Teng.
This was the beginning of the arrival of darkness.

The Darkness from Ge-Teng and the Chaos in Chu-Teng

Ever since then, darkness had begun appearing
all throughout Chu-Teng.
Although both the Yellow and Red Road Gates to Ge-Teng
had been firmly shut,
darkness started infesting all of Chu-Teng.
The lights of the Star Palace, which were dim,
were struck down by darkness and many were lost.
In preparation for a potential surprise attack by darkness,
the Sun Palace began searching for a way to shine brighter.
The Moon Palace captured the Star Palace
in order to counter its efforts and began searching
for its own way to become brighter.

The Star Palace
opposed the principles of Light Supremacy
and took great pains to protect dimmer lights.
The three lights
began antagonizing one another more and more.

The Moon Palace
married its queen Se-yin off to the Star Palace and then
caught it off guard, taking advantage of the opportunity
to occupy a large number of rooms in the Star Palace.
The lights of the Moon Palace
attacked the lights of the Star Palace
and gradually stole away their brightness.

The Sun Palace
became increasingly obsessed with
protecting only its own brightness,
so it sent away
all the other lights
and shut itself in.
Additionally,

the lights of the Sun Palace
stole away the brightness of Queen Se-yin, who had been married to the Star Palace,
causing her to lose her corporeal form.

This was the dawn of chaos in Chu-Teng.

The Conspiracy of the Supreme Darkness

None of the three palaces
rose up with their treasures of light
and made an effort to fight back against the darkness of Ge-Teng.
Caught up in the conflict over brightness,
they were headed down the path to self-destruction.

The Supreme Darkness Chui-hei
saw this from Ge-Teng and snickered to himself,
for Chui-hei
had manipulated the darkness
inside the three palaces of Tai-yang, Yue-yin, and Suin-shin,
gradually causing them to fall into chaos.

The treasures of the palaces remain there still
as tokens of the strength of light.
If they were not there,
Chu-Teng would soon be Chui-hei's.
Considering that,
he did not dare go near Chu-Teng.
He needed only to wait until the lights of Chu-Teng
all fought each other and turned into darkness.

However,
the Star Palace sensed the threatening activities that engulfed all of Chu-Teng
and sent for the Guard of Chu-Teng
to keep watch over the darkness of Ge-Teng.

The Voice of Nan-shu

The Guard of Chu-Teng
was I, Nan-shu.
I removed my face from my body
in an effort to survive in Ge-Teng.
I left behind my body in a room of the Star Palace
and proceeded towards Ge-Teng.
I was not a light of the Star Palace
from the very start;
I did not belong to any palace at all.
However, Suin-shin
adopted me as one of his own.

I had to put a stop to the darkness of Ge-Teng
both for the sake of Suin-shin
and for the sake of the lights of Chu-Teng.
However,
by absorbing the chaos and conflict in Chu-Teng,
the Supreme Darkness in Ge-Teng
was swelling into a giant force of darkness and growing in power.
A blow from Chui-hei struck me down.
My face fell apart
and was scattered throughout
Chu-Teng, Ge-Teng, and the Earth.

Chu-Teng Tablet

Chu-Teng Tablet

These are my ears. They can summon forth
information I found about Chu-Teng. You can read
information stored in plates you find and also
collect light inside. Please gather some information
of your own later.

Mouth ROM Nose ROM

When I was attacked in
Ge-Teng, My right eye was
captured by darkness and my
mouth and nose were made into
ROMs which went falling into
Chu-Teng. Please look for them.
My face cannot return to its
original state without these.

Star Palace

Star Tally

A charm required to enter the Star Palace.
The Star Palace has many lights, and the Star
Tally is always traveling throughout Chu-
Teng. The tally of each palace also becomes
a pass into Chu-Teng at the White Road
Gate.

Star Master Key

The Star Palace's skeleton key. Originally,
the key-making craze started with this
palace. This is because there are many lights
in the Star Palace who are capable craftsmen.

Library Key

The key to Heki, the Star Palace library.
Inside Heki are ancient documents, which are
meant for reference only and cannot be taken
out.

Locksmith Key

The key to Copier, the Locksmith of the Star
Palace. Copier once issued an excessive
amount of perfect duplicate keys and caused
chaos in Chu-Teng, so he is now locked up.

Flowers

An offering. If you offer flowers to
forgotten lights, they will very gratefully
accept.

Steamed Bun

An offering and a sweet, delicious
confection. At the Star Palace, there are
lights who love steamed buns so much that
they will dance for joy and fall into a
trance-like state if given one.

Candle

An offering.
Ignite and light it. The candle's flame is weak but
long-lasting.

Seven Stars Book

Scraps documenting the origin of the Seven Stars.

Starlight

An offering that Suin-shin made to Tsu-tang, the
altar. Starlight illuminates things that can't be
seen. It can be used in the other palaces as well.

Mingke-shu, the Tree of Life in Tong-Nou. If
set ablaze it will go out easily, but it bears true

important.

in a room full of paper. You can roll it up and

misuse it.

Kept in the Armory of the Star Palace. The
Light Net is used for catching things.

Kept in the Armory of the Star Palace. It is
used for killing things. At the Star Palace, you
can only take one dangerous weapon outside
the room at a time.

brighten the Star Palace. By using it to set fire
to something flammable, you can carry it
around. However, depending on what you set
on fire, the flame may go out quickly.

Duplicate Key

A duplicate key that Copier the Locksmith
created. The Locksmith can perfectly
reproduce all keys in Chu-Teng. His key
aesthetic is to always make only a single
duplicate.

Torikara

Torikara inhabits the Star Palace.
It is valuable and difficult to catch. Sometimes
it sings in a voice that would be nice to have.

The Seven Stars

A treasure handed down at the Star Palace, as

Palace and drives out the darkness. Suin-shin
hid them within the palace so that they can be

Star Plate

An information disc used by the Star Palace.
It is said to contain information about the
Star Palace that was collected by the four
pairs of twins who came from Tong-Nou.

Moon Tally

A charm required to enter the Moon Palace. This
is carried by lights entering and leaving the
moon, and it is also kept in other dimensions on
the Magatama Planet.

Moon Master Key

The Moon Palace's skeleton key. The Moon Palace
is cautious, so it uses not only a key but also a
password and gatekeepers in an effort to maintain
secrecy, but it seems this key was recently stolen by
darkness.

Five-Story Pagoda Key

Amoebas. Found in the Moon Palace
fountain. Takochu diligently transports them

it appears she often drops them along the way.

order to spread the giants' teachings, she
often gives these away.

A stone is just a stone.
But, if you use it well it might be helpful for
something.

Rope

A rope is just a rope.

An information disc used by the Moon
Palace. It seems to contain information that
was surveyed and collected by the four pairs

to seven priests for safekeeping. The Seven
Priests will protect the pearls no matter what.

tally is split into a pair of wooden tags with a
single design inscribed upon them. When the two
tags are united, the doors to the Sun Palace will

the Sun Palace collected by the four pairs of
twins who recently came from Tong-Nou.

was sent to manage the Milky Way,
a passage of light that connects
Chu-Teng and the Earth.

along the way.

Mine
Weapons of light used to exterminate
Dark Amoebas. Produced in the Moon
Palace fountain.

Stardust Clan

duties.

Su-game Clan

Habitat and Role
They live on the Magatama Planet
at the center of Chu-Teng. Their
four heads read the flow of the
present, past, and future, and
they have a habit of stockpiling

the sacred Su-game Clan is enshrined
in a different spatial dimension
on the planet. They live by using
the metallic elements put in their altars
as nourishment.

Dadezu and Zazezu

Role
One of the four pairs of twins
who came from Tong-Nou. All
the twins came to Chu-Teng on a
mission to protect it. Because
Dadezu and Zazezu have been
dispersed in Chu-Teng and are
conducting undercover operations,
their current whereabouts are unknown. Their sense of direction is
worse than the other twins, so there is a good chance that they are
lost. The other twins are infiltrating the three palaces.

Babebu and Babebo

Role
One of the four pairs of twins
who came from Tong-Nou. They have
received a mission to protect
Chu-Teng from Tong-Nou, and
are infiltrating the Sun Palace.
Their mission is to gather
intelligence on the Sun Palace and

One of the four pairs of twins
who came from Tong-Nou.
They have received a mission

reserved and methodical, but they have some screws loose.

Yo-a-mong

Habitat
Yo-a-mong is from the A-mong
family that lives in Tong-Nou. It
seems he sometimes appears in

spatial dimensions that are open

Tong-Nou. He is a suspicious
character.

The light who governs the
Star Palace. The Star Palace is also the
least bright place in all of
Chu-Teng and is a frail palace,
but it has the highest number of
lights. Though weak, Suin-shin is
a philanthropist and does things such as

which was exiled to the Milky Way. Se-yin of the Moon Palace recently
came to Suin-shin under marriage, but there are rumors that this is a
scheme of the Moon Palace.

Se-yin

Habitat and Role
The queen of the Moon Palace.
For the ostensible purpose
of peacemaking, she married
Suin-shin of the Star Palace
and now lives in the Star Palace.

everyone believes this to be a scheme
by Yue-yin of the Moon
Palace. The queen
wishes for peace in Chu-Teng.

Kui

Habitat and Role
A light of the Star Palace. Found in the Ghost
Room. He mercilessly tosses darkness and lights
from other palaces into holes leading to
different spatial dimensions. Having
confidence in this strength, Suin-shin seems

club. He is almost invincible with the
exception of a certain other weapon.
He doesn't hesitate to attack.

Shi-tsu

Palace, where
the holy Starlight Flame burns.
Shi-tsu was the guard of this flame,
but he ended up setting himself ablaze.

in a way that does not extinguish it.

Starlight Flame
Use it to light
something and
carry it with you.

Shin

Habitat and Role
A wandering bird that stays in
the Song Room of the Star
Palace. She does not belong

is formed by 28 lights gathering

Palace, Tei appears to be making use of seclusion techniques.

Torikara

Habitat and Role
A light of the Star Palace and a bird
that lives in the Net Room.
Torikara flies around unrestrained
and enjoys life fully, but in truth,
it is destined to always be chased around.
It has been confirmed that Torikara #2
inhabits the Moon Palace.

Torikara #1
Often cries "gukyokyo"
in a strange voice.

Nan-shu's Body

Habitat and Role
When Nan-shu was ordered to
become the Guard of Chu-Teng,
he left only his body behind in a
room in order to go to Ge-Teng.

barely move. Other lights
no longer visit this room.
Nan-shu's existence is on the
verge of being forgotten by all.

pickiness about ingredients. If you
displease him, he will not be able to
cook well.

Copier the Locksmith

Habitat and Role
A light of the Star Palace. Lives in the
Wings Room. Copier is
highly skilled. Because he once

Chu-Teng, he is now locked up.
But even now, he will make
an elaborate duplicate key for you
as long as it's just one.

Moon Palace

Yue-yin

the Moon Palace. So as
not to lose to the proud
Sun Palace, he is scheming to

Gatekeepers of the
underground palace. They were
made by Sango-jin of the Coral
Palace. In comparison to her
stubborn counterpart, Xi-liao is
friendly and kind. Unlike his
counterpart, Xiong-tsu dislikes
being tied up and is always in a
bad mood. Be very careful
about coming and going.

Chu-yin

Habitat and Role
A light of the Moon
Palace. Her special
skill is digging
interdimensional holes that
can lead anywhere. Because she opened
an interdimensional hole between the
Moon and Star Palaces, the Moon
Palace has become easier to attack. However, as this hole also leads
to Tong-Nou, there is chaos as well. Chu-yin is a chatterbox, so she
may spill some secrets if you listen closely to her. She is related to
Takochu of the Milky Way.

Sho-yin

Habitat and Role
A light of the Moon Palace and a
member of the Moon Palace army corps
that is constantly raiding the Star Palace
and working to conquer it. Sho-yin
always carries a light mobile receptor
and once he starts talking, he doesn't
stop. Lights of the Moon Palace have a
cruel nature and they attack and absorb
the brightness of the Star Palace lights
for themselves.

Ching-yin

Habitat and Role
A light of the Moon Palace. One
of the members of the Moon
Palace army corps who were
dispatched to occupy the
Star Palace. Ching-yin is able to
disperse the eyeballs that infest
her body like parasites and make
them attack the Star Palace. Even
if her eyeballs die, they will
immediately regenerate.

Omedama

Habitat and Role
A survivor of the Meditating Giant Clan who once lived on the Moon
Palace planet. Omedama, along with both of his hands, is used as the
gate to the Moon Palace. Despite having been completely changed into
a gate, he forcibly teaches his meditations to visitors. The Meditating
Giant Clan is relentless in this way.

Hashira

Habitat and Role
A survivor of the Meditating Giant Clan who
was made into living furniture in the
underground palace. There is another
Meditating Giant who was made into the
five-story pagoda gate, but despite these
circumstances, the giants do not lose their
pride, wisdom, and serenity by any means.
Additionally, even when made into furniture
or architecture, the giants can communicate
with each other through joint ownership of
their minds. For this reason, they know
confidential information about the Moon
Palace.

Sufiku

Habitat and Role
A survivor of the Meditating Giant Clan. Sufiku's superior brain is
implanted inside a living palace, and inside this brain he generates
other dimensions. With Sufiku's combination of codes, you can
summon forth spaces or lights from different dimensions.

Sun Palace

Tai-yang

Habitat and Role
Tai-yang, who governs the Sun Palace, consists of four discrete parts;
eyes, mouth, nose, and ears. Their purpose is to further brighten
Tai-yang by taking the form of suns and burning brilliantly. For this
reason, the Sun Palace is the brightest place in all of Chu-Teng. They
are Light Supremacists who aspire to monopolize all brightness.

Kae-yang

Habitat and Role
A member of the Sun Palace.
However, he is frequently driven
off to other palaces
because Tai-yang's desire
to monopolize all brightness
is so strong that he does not
want even the lights of his own
palace near him. Kae-yang is the wisest
light in the Sun Palace and he laments that
Chu-Teng is now overrun by the doctrine of Light Supremacy.
Incidentally, he has a funny accent.

Koh-yang

Habitat and Role
One of the few lights of the Sun Palace. He thinks of
himself as elite and prides himself on being one of
the Sun Palace's few lights with great
brightness. He currently stays at
the Star Palace, where he is
pulling some strings behind the
scenes. It looks like he is trying to
use the Sun Palace's unique
light-sealing compression technology
in order to carry out a secret plan. He is
another light with a strong accent.

Dark Amoebas

Role and Personality
Underlings of the
Supreme Darkness
Chui-hei.
Dark Amoebas will
attack lights on sight.
Once stuck to a light,
they will not let go
until they have stolen its brightness.
They are weak to Mines.

Kujira

Role and Personality
Kujira is an underling of the Supreme
Darkness Chui-hei.
He resides in the Milky Way,
where he captures and steals the
brightness of lights or Stardust
drifting in from Chu-Teng.
He swallows lights into his upper mouth
and ejects them below as
Koans of Darkness.
If you get swallowed up by Kujira,
you are done for.

Dark Soldier Yamihyo

Role and Personality
An underling of the Supreme Darkness
Chui-hei.
Chui-hei has the ability to turn materials
into darkness, so he created the Dark

gourd. Something of a joke among the
legions of darkness, he seems quite weak.

Dark Gourd
Yamihyo is usually
found inside here.

The Strongest Dark Soldier Yamin

Role and Personality
An underling of the Supreme Darkness
Chui-hei.

The Sun of Darkness Chi-tou

Role and Personality
Ru-hou and Chi-tou were
originally lights,
but they were banished to
Ge-Teng for being planets that
gave rise to misfortune.
Chui-hei saved them and
transformed them into darkness.
Chi-tou is trying to take over
Chu-Teng and rule over it
as the Sun of Darkness.

The Moon of Darkness Ru-hou

Role and Personality
Though Ru-hou and Chi-tou
were originally lights, they were
hated for
being planets of misfortune and
were exiled to Ge-Teng.
Chui-hei bestowed the power
of darkness upon them. Ru-hou
is plotting to paint the
world in darkness.
With the dark abilities that he
has acquired,
Ru-hou can also split into five
separate entities.

Star Plate

We four pairs of twins came from Tong-Nou to protect Chu-Teng.
We, Bibo and Pipo, were given a mission to protect the Star Palace
and collect information about it. Now that you can read this Star Plate,
start looking for the Seven Stars of the Star Palace, and pass them
on to Suin-shin. The treasure of the Star Palace has a great power that
can fight the darkness of Ge-Teng.
We also drew a detailed map of the Star Palace.
You'll probably have to go all over the place, but we don't really know.
Good luck, Rin. We'll be watching over you.

Star Palace

The Star Palace is the dimmest palace in Chu-Teng, but it has
the most lights.
Suin-shin brought the Star Palace's treasured Seven Stars and
twenty-eight Koan with him to fill the empty space that was there.
Then, he grew the Koan into star lights.
Glowing, the twenty-eight lights formed little domes
of light in a circle around the great dome that
Suin-shin built. Those domes are the Star Palace.

So, in the Star Palace, there are twenty-eight small dome-shaped rooms.
Since all of the rooms are interlocking, it feels like one levitates when inside
the palace. One can run around the palace in the twinkling of an eye,
but it is not possible to progress step by step.
Suin-shin allocated a role to each of the twenty-eight rooms and
made every light responsible for some job within the palace.
Each room's light worked for Suin-shin.
The Star Palace may not have much light, but it is a bustling palace nonetheless.

But the other palaces started competing to conquer the Star Palace and
occupy it. Queen Se-yin, who was married off to Suin-shin from
the Moon Palace, went missing. Full of sorrow,
Suin-shin fell ill from a lack of light. As he grew weak,
interdimensional holes opened throughout the palace
and lights began invading from the Sun and Moon.
In his weakened state, Suin-shin hid the treasured Seven Stars within
the palace and went to sleep quietly in a small hidden room.

Even if the Seven Stars are found, if Suin-shin does not
give them the last of his light, they will have no real power.
Suin-shin realized that the chaos in Chu-Teng
will not end until the presence that is causing it
has been defeated.
With his light steadily decreasing
and his mind decaying, Suin-shin
could only await Nan-shu's return.

Moon Plate

We four pairs of twins came from Tong-Nou to protect Chu-Teng.
We, Jido and Jizo, came to protect the Moon Palace and collect information
about it. Once you've checked out our Moon Plate, you have to find
the Seven Pearls of the Moon Palace, which will turn into a weapon to fight
the darkness. It'll be tough though, because there are lots of dimensions
in the Moon Palace. We safely hid the Moon Plate away so that no one bad
could get ahold of it. Now we will merge into a light to protect
the Moon Palace. We all have to do our best to keep the darkness at bay!

Moon Palace

The Moon Palace was built upon the planet that once housed a tribe
called the Meditating Giant Clan. Yue-yin, who governs the Moon Palace,
subjugated the gentle Meditating Giants
and constructed the Moon Palace.
He built a Five-Story Pagoda, a palace of coral, and an underground palace
beneath a fountain on that strange stone planet.
The Meditating Giants were made into living furniture, gates, and pillars.

Sufiku, one of the brightest minds of the Meditating Giant Clan, was
moved deep into the underground palace, and his brain was used to house an
interdimensional space. Yue-yin, the Seven Priests, and the Court Ladies
began to live in that space.
Each of the Seven Priests is to protect one of the Seven Pearls of the
Moon Palace. Such was Yue-yin's decree.
In order to surpass the radiance of the Sun Palace, the lights
of the Moon Palace set out to dominate the weak Star Palace.

Yue-yin gave Princess Se-yin's hand in marriage to Suin-shin
in the name of peace. Then, catching Suin-shin and the star lights
off-guard, moon lights poured into the palace one after another
and began to occupy every room.
In the commotion, Queen Se-yin disappeared. Suin-shin became
depressed and isolated himself. Until the location of the treasure
of the Star Palace is discerned, the palace cannot be completely dominated.
Yue-yin has been considering entering an alliance with the darkness.

Opposite his intentions, Yue-yin was consumed by the darkness through
the interdimensional space. He became Dark Yue-yin, void of light.
The Seven Priests immediately imprisoned Dark Yue-yin and hid
the Seven Pearls that they were entrusted with throughout the
inside of the Moon Palace.
After they are all gathered together and a name incantation is
performed upon them, the Seven Pearls will become a weapon
to defeat the darkness. They must not end up in the hands of the darkness.

Sun Plate

We four pairs of twins came to Chu-Teng from Tong-Nou.
We, Babebu and Babebo, were tasked with passing on the information
that we collected to someone who can fight for Chu-Teng.
We want you to find the the treasure of the Sun Palace, the Seven Mirrors,
which will turn into a weapon to fight the darkness. The Sun Palace is vast
and unending, so we couldn't make a really good map.
While you read this Sun Plate, we will combine and
become a light to protect the Sun Palace. It's scary, but here we go!

Sun Palace

The Sun Palace consists of a systematically arranged field of planets.
Boasting a radiance that surpasses the rest of Chu-Teng, the Sun Palace
expels all lights determined to be insufficiently bright in
accordance with Light Supremacy.
Further enforcing that doctrine, dim lights were exiled from
the Milky Way to the Earth's surface.
Tai-yang, who governs the Sun Palace, split his body into
four blazing suns that emit a monumental amount of light.

All of the dimmer lights of the Sun Palace that served Tai-yang were exiled,
and Tai-yang consumed all of the brighter lights to brighten himself.
Thus, nearly all of the lights of the Sun Palace have disappeared.
The remaining lights were sent to occupy sections of the other palaces.
Tai-yang wants no one by his side within the Sun Palace.

Recently, Tai-yang also began swallowing sacred Koan and
converting them into his own light.
Because of that, no new lights can be born to the Sun Palace.
Before they can grow from Koan to light, they are all absorbed
and become one with Tai-yang's radiance.
As Tai-yang's brightness continues to grow
more and more abnormally brilliant,
the Sun Palace has begun to destroy the balance of light within Chu-Teng.

Tai-yang himself holds onto the treasure of the Sun Palace for
safekeeping. He who has the Seven Mirrors
rules the Sun Palace and the lights of the Sun.
By performing the name incantation
on the Seven Mirrors,
they will become a weapon to fight the darkness.

Se-yin

Se-yin

I am Se-yin of the Moon Palace.
I was married off to Suin-shin of the Star Palace
in the name of peace.
However, this peace was a trick of the Moon Palace.

The Moon Palace took the light of the Star Palace
and began to occupy it.
Then, my light was also taken
by the Sun Palace, and I lost my corporeal light form.

I called out to Suin-shin again and again
but he cannot hear my voice. He cannot see me.
The Star Palace and Suin-shin grow weak,
but I cannot help them.

All I can do now
is teach you about Chu-Teng.
From now on, each time you find something,
please try to summon me.

Star Palace

Please lend your strength
to Suin-shin of the Star Palace.
Listen to his voice,
for I no longer can.

Suin-shin's light is insufficient,
so he might be sleeping.
If that is the case, it would be good
to give him some light.

Suin-shin loves
Shin's singing. I do not.
He also likes to hunt, read, and pray.
Oh, right, and he also loves
Mai-chiu's cooking.

For when you return to the Moon Palace,
please find all the lights that are
controlling the Star Palace.
I dislike most of the moon lights
living there.

Moon Palace

Oh, my Moon Palace.
But I can't trust it anymore...
I can trust only
Zako-yin of the Five-Story Pagoda and
Court Lady Sang-nyui.

You must find the treasure of the Moon Palace, the
Seven Pearls, and take them away.
They will become a weapon of light
and you can defeat the darkness of Ge-Teng.

The Seven Pearls are each possessed
by a different one of the Seven Priests.
They may have been entrusted to the Shell Family
and hidden in them.
The Seven Shells Family members are small, so look carefully for them.

Tsukiusa-yin is also in the Five-Story Pagoda.
If there is something you do not understand
you should listen to what Tsukiusa-yin can tell you.
The old light Zako-yin can also
assist you.

Sun Palace

You are in the Sun Palace.
Please look for the treasure of the Sun Palace,
the Seven Mirrors, while you are here.
The Seven Mirrors will help you by turning into a weapon to
fight the darkness in Ge-Teng.

The Sun Palace has a massive amount of light.
I hear that Tai-yang is burning everything in his
endless array of planets, including the Koan,
to increase his own light.

Tai-yang hates it when
any light other than himself
enters the Sun Palace.
He thinks about nothing but how radiant he is.

I hear that no light has returned safely from the Sun Palace.
However, you absolutely mustn't abandon hope.
The light Koan can surely
help you somehow.

Zako-yin

Zako-yin

Ah, you're here. This room isn't too bad, eh?
When you've lived as long as I have, you get to see a lot.
I feel that the Supreme Darkness of Ge-Teng, Chui-hei,
is responsible for the chaos
plaguing Chu-Teng.

Chui-hei is a massive expanse of darkness.
He grows larger and larger by
abnormally absorbing the dark parts of Koan.
Nan-shu knows more than anyone else does about him.

Chui-hei deftly drew out the darkness concealed
within the three palaces and brought forth chaos with it.
Tai-yang, Yue-yin, and Suin-shin
went mad and were transformed into darkness.
They must have grown weak.

Chui-hei seizes the darkness from within light
and uses it to cause chaos.
That is how he caused the falling out of the three palaces.
Despite the proof, however, no one is fighting the darkness.
Chui-hei is clever. He sits back safely in Ge-Teng while the shadows assault us.
Because we have the three treasures, he cannot come near Chu-Teng.

You and Nan-shu must do something.
Everything will be okay once Nan-shu's face has been restored.
Since the other two parts of Nan-shu's face must have
fallen into Chu-Teng, please do look for them.
I also wish to help you,
so please call for me if anything happens.

Star Palace

Do keep in mind that there is
a forgery of the treasure of the Star Palace.
Keep your eyes peeled, because
it does look remarkably like the original.

Moreover, no one but Suin-shin knows the
complex ritual needed to distinguish them from one another.
Well... For more about Suin-shin,
you'll have to talk to Queen Se-yin of the Moon Palace.

If you have the real Seven Stars,
Suin-shin will perform their incantation for you.
I believe that the Supreme Darkness Chui-hei can
only be defeated using that treasure
and the power of the lights of
the Sun and Moon Palaces.

As you know, only Nan-shu
can defeat Chui-hei.
But first, his face must be restored.
Please go and look for the pieces
of his shattered face.

Moon Palace

The treasure of the Moon Palace
is called the Seven Pearls.
Since Yue-yin has grown dark,
the Seven Shells Family holds them.
The Seven Shells Family members look like this.

The pearls are scattered throughout the Moon Palace,
so it will be quite difficult to find them all.
I had no more than the one I gave you.
Try asking the priests and the Court Lady for help.
They may have some clues for you.

Once you have assembled all seven pearls,
you'll have to recite the incantation of their name.
The Seven Pearls will have an effect on
Ru-hou, another
force of darkness from Ge-Teng.

Ru-hou is also darkness that was converted from the light.
Yue-yin once told Ru-hou that he would make him the Guard of Chu-Teng,
but then he forgot about that and expelled him from Chu-Teng entirely.
Heartbreakingly not allowed to return to Chu-Teng, Ru-hou was
adopted by the Supreme Darkness Chui-hei and became one with the darkness.
Please return him to his Koan...

Sun Palace

The treasure of the Sun Palace is called the "Seven Mirrors."
Here, it looks like this.
Search thoroughly for it, Rin.

Once you acquire the treasure,
You will need its name incantation.
Then the treasure will exert its power.

Some darkness in Ge-Teng holds a grudge against the light.
Chi-tou, who was banished fron Chu-Teng long ago,
was converted to the darkness.
The Sun Palace expelled Chi-tou
just because his light was too dim.

Chi-tou became the Sun of Darkness
and fumed in Ge-Teng.
However, just the Seven Mirrors
will be enough to destroy him.
