Plot

Each of the Del Montas crawls up their string to raise a flag. Each flag is higher and larger than the last. The yellow Del Montas, who has the smallest flag, is jealous of the others, and cuts their strings with scissors. Banaten, who happens to walk by, notices the situation between the Del Montas. He leaves, then comes back with a rifle and shoots down the yellow Del Montas.

The Del Montas are all bandaged up, but still threatening each other with scissors.

Explanation

Literally: Eye dirt sneers at nose dirt.

We are often unable to see our own shortcomings, and accuse those around us of being at fault. The pot, unable to see its own bottom, criticizes the kettle for being scorched underneath. Have you ever done the same? The Del Montas are all exactly alike-like peas in a pod, in fact. Unable to recognize this, they try so hard to undercut each other to elevate their own positions. They finally end up in exactly the same situation, don't they?
