I'm only now realizing the title may have something to do with the gratuitous love for gradients shown here.

Gradation of Happiness is a 1992 series of graphic artwork by Osamu Sato. It may be viewed on the defunct OSD website, which is the only known reference to the series.

  • Sato can be seen editing one of these images at approximately 2:35 in the Next Beat interview.
  • The eyes seen in this image also appear on the cover art for Equal (bottom center).
