Lovely Sweet Dream is a book written by Hiroko Nishikawa and published by Media Factory. It was released alongside LSD: Dream Emulator and the soundtrack LSD and Remixes. The book is a collection of entries from Nishikawa's dream diary, which served as the basis for the game. 80 artists from around the world contributed artwork to the project. The illustrated dreams are accompanied by English translations, with the remainder being presented exclusively in Japanese.
Several in-game entities and even locations are inspired by the diary. Some dreams are directly quoted in the game's Text Dreams.
Exhibition
From March 8 to April 2, 1999, a Lovely Sweet Dream exhibition was held in Ginza at Creation Gallery G8, where the aforementioned artworks were displayed.
